Yala National Park, located in the southeastern region of Sri Lanka, is the country's most visited and second-largest national park. Covering an area of approximately 979 square kilometers, it offers visitors a chance to experience the island's rich biodiversity in a pristine natural setting.

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Yala National Park is during the dry season from February to July, when animals are more likely to gather around water sources, making them easier to spot. The park is closed during September for maintenance.
Early morning (6:00 AM - 10:00 AM) and late afternoon (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM) are the optimal times for wildlife viewing, as animals are most active during these cooler periods of the day.
Safari Experience
Yala offers both morning and afternoon safari experiences, typically lasting 3-4 hours each. Safari vehicles are specially designed for wildlife viewing with elevated seating and open sides for unobstructed views and photography.
